A Few More Pictures from Las Vegas

Here are a few more pictures from our trip. We started off our day with lunch at the Spice Buffet as per Brad's advice. We did some shopping at Caesars Palace and Fashion Show Mall. We ate dinner at Emeril Lagasse's Table 10 restaurant in the Palazzo Hotel. We then headed over to the Flamingo to see the Donny & Marie show. The show was very wholesome and enjoyable. Donny & Marie both looked great :-)

The four of us in front of Trump Tower.

Greg and I in our hotel lobby.

Brad persuaded us to eat at the Spice Buffet in Planet Hollywood.

Voted best buffet in 2007.

We took Mom and Dad to see Donny & Marie.

Very fun!! We haven't stayed at the Trump Towers yet, but really want to next time we are in Vegas. Did you like Emerill's place? We have been to two of his places one in Orlando the other in New Orleans, both were not very good for the price we paid.

Trump Tower was very nice! Emerill's place was fine. It was probably $50 each person. My food tasted good but it was a small portion for the price (I like the small portion...but they should lower the price). Hope all is well Missty!

Looks like a fun trip! Is this Emerill's place as in Emerill Live?

And just a quick question...could you ask Greg if filing down canines is common procedure when extracting other teeth to get ready for braces? Or is it possible that my teeth just weren't that sharp to begin with. Ryan and I are debating this point. I'm of the viewpoint that my teeth weren't sharp to begin with, but he thinks they were filed down. Thanks!

Hi Anna:

It is impossible for me to remember what your canines looked like before treatment, but there are lot's of reasons why they might not have sharp points at your age. We do not routinely contour canines before treatment and it has nothing to do with extacting teeth. Sometimes at the end of treatment orthodontists will perform "enameloplasty" if the shape of the canines prevents the best occlusion or seating between the lower teeth in function or at rest. Sometimes patients just doesn't like the pointiness of the canines. Other times they just aren't sharp to begin with or they just wear down naturally. In other words, there isn't one answer and there is no real right or wrong. Every situation is unique. Dr. J
