"Tonight I Wanna Cry"

I was so depressed after the carpet guys left as pretty much every single room in my house was really messy. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's been over a month now that I've had workmen in my house. I have a problem living amidst clutter due to some issues from my childhood...

Brooke has a lot of her things in the guest room because she doesn't want to "junk up" her room. So that is going to take awhile to sort out. BTW...I've got some cool things in mind for her Audrey Hepburn/Breakfast at Tiffany's room. I talk about it a little in the video. The dress form in her room is soooo cool. It came with red dangly jewels but I went to home depot and got some clear chandelier crystals and hung them on the dress form and it looks so much classier (you won't see those in the video because I added them after I filmed it). I wish I could convince her to let me switch out her ceiling fan for a crystal chandelier but she USES her fan ever single night (even in the Winter!).

Some things have turned out nicely, and some things still need work (painters broke a desk lamp, there are drops of paint in various places that I have been cleaning up, carpet guys broke Brooke's shower curtain rod, the carpet guy underestimated the carpet so I have spot with no carpet).

I didn't even go into what was once our clean garage to video (ugh! the painters threw stuff everywhere!).

Oh well, here is the latest video:

Oh Cheryl,

I feel the sharpness of that pit in your stomach.

I should probably introduce myself first. My name is Michele Heath and I live in Chandler, AZ. I came across your family's original website when I was researching to do our own family website. But then I became so mesmerized with yours and about 3 other family websites/blogs that I had trouble actually starting my own. I do hope that is not considered stalking! Anyway, after much "research", I finally jumped into the blogging world. So thanks are due to you even though you didn't know you were being such an inspiration - thank you!

I'm not LDS, but have many friends who are; and I am just as comfortable with all of them as I am my Lutheran (my faith denomination)friends. Sometimes I think my spirit flew the wrong way when finding a family! (which, if you knew me, is just like me!) I just wanted you to know that your blog has universal appeal - LDS or not.

I have been meaning to contact all the people who unknowingly encouraged me to set sail on my blog and finally release all this buid-up that goes on in my head. When I read your post this morning and watched your video, I knew it was time to contact you.

I, too, am overwhelmed with all the house stuff. We are trying to get our house on the market and there is so much to be done. Our house has been a total wreck for the last year (for other reasons than just this moving thing, but I won't waste your comment space)and it wears on the entire family. So, when I opened up your blog this early morning, I so related to you and wanted you to know that there is at least one other person out there that "gets it."

I said a prayer for you and will continue to keep you in thought. Hang in there - your home is beautiful and soon you will be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Oh, one more thing! My almost 13 year old daughter also wants a "Audrey Hepburn/Tiffany's bedroom in the new house. When I read that about your daughter's room, I just had to believe that God truly works in both the most intricate and simple ways!

Please keep posting! Very sincerely, Michele : )

Ahhh my new friend Michele, I am touched by your kind words. I love blogging as I feel like it's a great way to document life and seems easier than trying to write in a journal or to scrapbook every day :-)

Thanks for writing!

PS: I'll keep the blog posted on Brooke's room :-)
